History of

New Life Fellowship Center

Church of God

Believing in God’s Word and Spirit

On Sunday, March 13, 1993 New Life Fellowship Center Church of God was birthed in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with Bishop Clinton G. Ruddock as founding pastor along with Lady Ann-Marie Ruddock, his wife. The first worship service was held at 4000 N. State Road 7, Lauderdale Lakes. Due to unforeseen circumstances the church was unable to continue operating out of the Concord building, after one worship service.

Fortunately, the Mignott’s family (chartered members) of New Life Fellowship Center immediately opened their home to us for services. After several weeks in their home the late Dr. Lennox Powell, then pastor of the Greater Fort Lauderdale New Testament Church of God, assisted us in securing a worship site at 6435 W. Commercial Boulevard. We were blessed to be at Commercial Blvd. for 2 years, where we grew spiritually and numerically. Along with the success stories during this early stage of ministry we also had our share of challenges.

Mission

Molding believers, influencing our community

To Pray without ceasing… be instant in prayer until all strongholds are broken, yokes (oppression, bondage, burdens, encumbrances) are destroyed, sick bodies healed, wounded broken spirits are mended, marriages are restored, souls saved and filled with the f. Maintain unity within the body of Christ, genuine love and fellowship is evident, worship is maintained in the spirit of oneness. The Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. The Lord said, indeed the people are one and they all have one language and this is what they begin to down, now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. (Genesis 11: 5-6)

Objectives

Praying in the spirit throughout services

  • Our Prayers must be Specific, Focused, Detailed, Constant, and Effective. This Ministry will be careful:
  • To strategically positioned Intercessors who are connected to God and will spiritually discern interference with the flow of the Holy Spirit and be praying in the spirit throughout services.
  • To develop watchmen/women on guard who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading and to their surroundings
  • To penetrate and saturate the atmosphere with our prayers
  • To fortify the ministry and our surrounding environment
  • To claim the city for God

Vision

Work for the Lord Jesus

To build and maintain a strong, effective, and stable prayer team through which the Spirit of God will be manifested and the ministry Gifts come into operation as individuals become dead to self and alive unto God…”The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16).
